What can i expect?

Laser hair removal is a lot less intimidating when you know what to expect. When you come in, the laser technician will first go with you over the basics of laser hair removal and make sure you’re a good candidate for it. She’ll answer all of your questions, and put you at ease if you’re a little nervous.

Then, once you’re ready, you can get changed if necessary. Before she starts the hair removal process, your nurse or technician will use a skin-safe pencil to divide the treatment area into quadrants. This allows her to work methodically and guarantees she doesn’t miss a single spot.

When the laser comes in contact with your follicles, you’ll feel a slight sting. Compared to other areas, leg laser hair removal is usually not particularly painful. Most of our patients find it just slightly uncomfortable, although tolerance levels can vary. If it hurts, let your technician know, since you can always take a break.

You’ll need to protect your legs from the sun, but otherwise, you’ll be ready to go back to life as normal.

Laser hair removal is FDA-approved hair removal treatment.

Policies For All Treatments: You may NOT have any type of treatment in any of our offices so long as you are (or think you may be) pregnant or nursing. Please notify us if you have any medical conditions or history such as: Heart Disease, Thyroid, Diabetes, Cancer, Skin Disease, or anything else that we may need to be aware of. If you are under the age of 18, you must arrive to your appointment with a parent or legal guardian to receive laser hair removal. The practice of medicine is not an exact science and no guarantees can be made concerning the results of such procedures; therefore, there will be NO refunds for any treatments received.

Laser Hair Removal: Please make sure your skin is at its natural color. NO sun exposure, tanning lotions, tanning beds, tanning sprays, and tanning solutions 2-4 weeks before and after your treatment. You must cover all treated areas and wear sunblock. Please avoid iron (in any form) for at least 3 days before and after your treatment. NO Antibiotics, Retin-A, Aspirin or any blood thinning medications 2 weeks prior to your treatment. NO Accutane or Immunosuppressants in the last 6 months. If you have taken (or are currently taking) these, or any other medications, notify the office immediately. Treatment area(s) must be free of makeup, lotions, deodorant and ointments. Shave 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. AVOID waxing, bleaching, tweezing, threading, Nair, etc. for 4 weeks prior to your appointment. NO facial treatments, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels for at least 2 weeks before and after your laser treatment. NO exercise or deodorant for 24-hours post treatment. NO jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, or hot showers for 24-72 hours post treatment.

Cancellation/No Show Policy: Please be advised of our 24-hour Cancellation/No-Show policy; if your appointment is cancelled less than 24-hours prior to your appointment, 50% of your booked services will be auto-charged to the pre-authorized card provided in your file. Please note all pre-paid packages are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may only be used in the office which they were purchased. All deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be transferred to be used for a different service than what the deposit was originally given to be used for.

How Many laser hair removal treatments will i need?

Results are unique to each individual. Most of our clients achieve the results they want within 6 to 12 laser treatments, but it may be more or less.

does laser hair removal hurt?

Laser hair removal hurts less than most other forms of hair removal, especially waxing. Our clients are often surprised to discover the treatment is much more painless than they expected! Many describe the sensation as similar to a snap of a tiny rubber band. All of our machines are equipped with a cooling feature that eases the sting immediately after each laser pulse.

does laser hair removal work on any skin type

how often should i have a laser hair removal session?

For best results, make sure to come in every 4 to 6 weeks. This allows us to maximize your results while keeping your skin in great shape.

can i shave between laser hair removal treatments?

Yes! In fact, we require that you shave your treatment area 24-48 hours before your appointment. After your treatment, allow your skin a few days to calm down before shaving again.

is laser hair removal permanent?

Laser hair removal is approved by the FDA as a permanent hair reduction method. Most of our clients report complete or significant permanent reduction in hair growth after their treatments. In specific cases, fluctuating hormones can stimulate regrowth, in which case we recommend coming in for a touch-up.
